Celebrate Miles Davis' 100th birthday with a "nonet" - nine of Kansas City's jazz professionals, led by jazz master, David Watson. Watson is committed to spreading the gospel of jazz as he looks forward to performing for you on Sept 24. "The Doctor Of Bebop" has always championed swinging jazz. Inspired by Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Eddie Jefferson, Jon Hendricks, Betty Carter, King Pleasure, Joe Carolle, Joe Williams, and others. David has always had his own sound and fresh approach to singing the music he loves, whether it's bebop, blues, or jazz ballads. In David’s words, "I try to bring a creative force to the bandstand every time I perform. I love performing bebop, jazz standards and my original works. I want to sing jazz the rest of my life, until I can’t do it any longer. As long as I love the music, I have no plans to stop.”
