Concert I: Requiem for the Enslaved newEar begins a year-long exploration of Images Of America with Carlos Simons' seminal Requiem of the Enslaved, a monumental work that explores the sacred and historical ideology of the sale of those enslaved in our country. Alongside this work is a performance of Shawn Okpebholo's Redlin[ing].
